Ipekyol Hotel: A Peaceful Oasis in Cesme

After a quick three-day stop in Alacati, it was time for a detour to Cesme, an even smaller town right next to Alacati and even closer to the Greek borders with Turkey. After doing some research about the places I want to see, I decided to stay at Ipekyol Hotel, a six-room hotel located right off the marina area of Cesme.

Cesme is a pretty quaint town but as soon as I walked into Ipekyol Hotel, a feeling of additional serenity washes over you. The hotel has a beautiful flowery garden and a large swimming pool to cool down during those hot Cesme days. The hotel is owned and managed by a Turkish-French couple, who are passionate about travel and of course their hotel, which is decorated with artifacts from all over the world.

My room was spacious and simply gorgeous and actually felt very Parisian — the mark of the French co-owner of the hotel. The room overlooked the town of Cesme although the trees covered some of the view which is fine as it breaks some of the heat.

Breakfast at Ipekyol was superb and has an assortment of everything including some really delicious honey and cheese. The owners were kind enough to suggest an afternoon sunset cruise from the Cesme Marina which was actually one of the best that I have ever taken so I strongly suggest you ask them to book it for you.

Will definitely be coming back here if I am ever in Cesme. To see more of the hotel and Cesme, check out my Instagram highlights.
