Review: Nassima Royal Hotel, Dubai

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to stay at Nassima Royal Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel located on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. To be honest, I had only recently heard about the hotel despite it being located within a short distance of my office so I was excited to check out a new place for a couple of days.

Nassima Royal Hotel is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts group which comprises more than 650 independent hotels, resorts, residences, and hotel groups across 85 countries. You can sign up to their loyalty program here for free.

Instead of a boring traditional review, I will, as usual, be listing below the main things that I liked about the hotel from a Dubai resident and a tourist perspective:

  1. Views: Being located right on the Sheikh Zayed Road means that many of the rooms will have amazing views of the city. And even if your room doesn’t have a view, fear not, because there are a couple of restaurants and a lounge at the hotel that have floor to ceiling windows directly overlooking the city.
  1. Location, location, location: Ah, the most sought after attribute of a hotel! Nassima Royal Hotel is located within short distance of Dubai Airport, Dubai International Financial Center, Dubai Mall, and Burj Khalifa, and is also a 5-minute walk from the nearest metro station. Dubai residents and adventurous, off-the-beaten-path tourists would be interested in knowing that the hotel is also located near to some of Dubai’s hidden gems such as this mosque below.
  1. The shower: Ok now you’re thinking, what the hell is wrong with this guy?! But hear me out. Not only do you have a shower head and an amazingly soothing side shower which are magic after a lot of walking around the city, but you also have the option of soaking in peace as the city glitters in a distance. And the water pressure is probably one of the best that I have seen in the city.
  1. The food: The hotel has 8 (9 if you count the pool bar) different places where you can eat and/or have a drink including some of Dubai’s most well-known places such as Movida and Tresind. The restaurants are of various cuisines which is very helpful especially if you are on a staycation and don’t really feel like getting out. And the breakfast is A Class!

You can find more information on the hotel on their website, Facebook, and Instagram.
