4 Reasons To Get Your Next Massage at Burj Al-Arab

After living in Dubai for about two years and after staying and visiting countless hotels here, I finally decided to visit Burj Al-Arab, which is, as many of you are aware, regularly voted as the world’s most luxurious hotel.

But this wasn’t just any visit as I actually decided to try the spa! The Talise Spa at Burj Al-Arab is located on the 18th floor (that’s 150 meters!) so you can only imagine the kind of views they have up there. Unlike the rest of the hotel, the spa is a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the lobby with all the tourists and hotel guests.

The moment you walk out of the elevator you are met with stunning designs and interior architecture with Asian and Arab influences before you proceed to check in for your treatment. The Talise Spa has separate quarters for men and women, while couples can enjoy the facilities on the men’s side.

We arrived an hour before the treatment so we had the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking indoor swimming pool and what is possibly the most amazing jacuzzi I have ever been in. We were there on a Friday and there was only one person at the pool so that should give you an idea of the kind of exclusivity and seclusion you can expect.

Right before it was time for the massage, we were escorted out of the pool up to the treatment room which featured floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Arabian Gulf. We opted for the one hour Thai massage which proved to be a much needed flexing of every muscle in our bodies. In retrospect, we should have gone for the 85-minute treatment instead!

As is the case with my other reviews, I will list below the reasons why I think you should try this spa at least once!

1. The location: Obviously this is not a tough sell, especially if you are a first time visitor to Burj Al-Arab like me. The whole experience from the moment we set foot inside the hotel to the moment we left the spa was like a dream. And despite the tourists snapping pictures all around you, the moment you enter the spa on the 18th floor, you are immediately overwhelmed by the silence, the ambience, and the seclusion.

2. The facilities: As I mentioned above, two of the things you will get to enjoy are an indoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi, but this is Burj Al-Arab so it obviously won’t be just another indoor swimming pool! We are talking about a pool that’s befit of an emperor!

3. The price: Surprisingly enough, the prices of treatments at Talise Spa are pretty affordable compared to other luxury hotels in Dubai and at the end of the day you are paying for the high quality service you are actually getting as well as the location.

4. The views: The views from inside the spa really made me wish there was an outdoor section where one can just sit out and sunbathe. Imagine half of your view being the green water of the sea while the other half being Dubai including a view range that goes all the way up to Burj Khalifa.

Have you been to the Talise Spa at Burj Al-Arab? What did you think?
