Following up on my Stockholm trip report, I thought I would write a review on the hotel I stayed at, the Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm. I stayed at several Radisson Blu hotels around the world and what I like about this chain is the level of consistent service and this one did not disappoint.
As usual, I will not bore you with the factual details about the hotel, which you can find on its website, but I will outline the reasons why I think this is a great place to stay in Stockholm for business and leisure visitors alike.
1. Location: The Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm is located right across from the Central Station which is likely where you will arrive from the airport, especially if you take the Arlanda Express train service. The hotel is also connected to the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Center which is where many of the trade shows in Stockholm take place, making it great for business visitors. The hotel is also walking distance from Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm, which is where you will be spending most of your time if you are a tourist.
2. Breakfast/Food: I usually don’t take breakfasts at hotels but I got a good deal with breakfast included. I don’t think I ever had a fresher breakfast anywhere. I mean from the salmon to the fruits to the bread to the smoothies to the homemade marmalades to literally everything on the buffet. They had plenty of organic and gluten-free options too, and you seriously owe it to your taste buds to have the breakfast at this hotel. They also started offering a Sunday brunch which seems popular among locals.
3. Staff: As I mentioned above, I really like the consistent level of service at the Radisson Blu chain and the staff at Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm rose up to that level and beyond. Not only are you greeted with smiles wherever you go, the staff are extremely accommodating of the requests of guests. I even had an unusual request and it was arranged for me in less than an hour.
